I gotta say, this tune knocked my socks off, but then again, California sounds do that to me. Think the Beach Boys “Surfer Girl” + “Pet Sounds” + “Smile” Contributed by Boss Logan.

3. “I Miss My Surfer Boy Too” - The Westwoods - A&M, 1965. The Westwoods were the Honeys. Produced by Brian Wilson.

5. “Am-A-Do” - Bob Marley & the Wailers - from the remastered edition of “Natty Dread” (originally recorded 1974. Previously unreleased.

15. “Chinese Girl” - Billy J. Kramer - Polydor, 1967 - his second solo single after leaving the Dakotas
16. “Mr. Summer” - The McCoys - from “Hang on Sloopy: The Best of the McCoys”
17. “Cheree” - Suicide - 1978 single on Bronze
18. “How Can I Prove” - John Fred & His Playboy Band - Jewel, 1965
19. “Going’ To Malibu” - Malilbooz - from “Malibooz Rule!” 1981
20. “Cry” - The Malibus - Planet, 1966
21. “Strong Love” - The Malibus - Sure-Shot, 1965
22. “Down at Malibu Beach” - Jan & Dean - from “Ride the Wild Surf” 1964
23. “Boy You Better Watch it Girl” - Beatrice Kay - she was 14 when she was signed to Kent Records. This was recorded in 1962-63 and went unreleased until 2013 with the release of the comp “Boy Trouble: Garpax Girls”
24. “Indian Girl” - The Capris - Planet, 1959
25. “We’re Gonna Save the Summer” - The Pearlfishers - from the album “The Young Picnickers” 1999 - contributed by Boss Logan
